Indoor environments such as Public & Office Spaces, Mechanical & Utility Rooms, Residential Units or Apartment complexes and Outdoor & Grounds Environments like exterior of building and surrounding property, Heights and Rooftops, Landscaping and Perimeter.
Inspect and repair surfaces by replacing damaged shingles, sealing roof leaks, patching plaster cracks, repairing window sashes, fixing floorboards, restoring wood trim, and touch up painting as necessary. Prepare surfaces by scraping and sanding. Use roofing nails, shingles, flashing, sealants, joint compound, wood filler, and plaster. Tools include hammers, pry bars, trowels, sanders, putty knives, glazing tools, ladders, and harnesses.
Measure and mark lumber or plywood, and cut components using table saws, circular saws, miter saws, and routers. Shape edges with planers and sanders, and assemble using nail guns, clamps, and wood glue. Install hardware and fasteners. Materials include dimensional lumber, plywood, screws, nails, adhesives, brackets, and finish coatings. Techniques include joinery (dado, rabbet, mortise), edge banding, and sanding.
Use oxy-acetylene and plasma cutting torches to cut, trim, or remove metal parts such as steel beams, pipes, brackets, and sheet metal panels. Cutting torches are used to dismantle damaged sections, resize components for fabrication, or prepare metal for welding or fitting. Tasks include adjusting gas pressure, igniting torches, and guiding the flame or arc for precise cuts. Wear proper PPE. The worker will also record the type of parts serviced, nature of the work performed, labor time, and material costs in maintenance logs or tracking systems.
Inspect used parts such as shafts, gears, bearings, bushings, valves, and flanges to assess wear, tear or deformation. Using precision tools like steel rules, calipers, micrometers, and feeler gauges, the worker will measure dimensions such as diameter, thickness, length, and clearance. Measurements are compared to original specifications to determine if parts remain within tolerance or require repair or replacement. Findings are recorded for maintenance documentation and quality control.
1. Record type and cost of maintenance or repair works.
2. Prepare list of materials needed for specific repair or maintenance works.
3. Perform general cleaning duties of building or properties.
4. Paint or repair roofs, windows, floors, woodwork, plaster, or other parts of building structures.
5. Fabricate or repair counters, benches, partitions, or other wooden structures, such as sheds, or outbuildings.
6. Lay bricks to repair or maintain building, wall arches, or other structures.
7. Operate cutting torches in metal part.
8. Position or attached insulating materials to prevent energy losses from buildings, pipes or others structures or objects.
9. Inspect used parts to determine changes in dimensional requirements, using rules, calipers, micrometers, or other measuring instruments,
